On the Bead Board
I came across these lucite flowers and decided to mix them with some vintage beads. My beadboard is the setting for a pretty potpourri of pastels. I am happily working on a necklace with a new style. I am very much enjoying this style, and as I am working, I am thinking of so many different mediums I would like to try this with. Will post the first finished piece soon.

Treasure Necklace
Treasure Necklaces are such a favorite of mine to make, and happily, they have been very popular these days at BeadRee. Orders have been coming in, and each customer selects the kinds of beads, charms and talismans, they would like for their necklace.
This was a necklace I did recently, based on an amber color scheme. It is so much fun to see how each piece unfolds. Recently, a customer requested a cream and cranberry combination. That was a combination I had not worked with before, and I really enjoyed the challenge. Although these are usually custom made, I have been making more finished pieces to add to my shop. Look for the shades of white version, coming soon. I am thinking also of all brass, all sparkles, and a kitchy lucite version. along with some reds and pinks and, yes, I could go on and on! Feel free to let me know what you think would be a charming color combination.

On the Bead Board
It has been such a mild winter, and Spring is just around the corner. I have been dreaming of my garden, and decided today I would order my flower seeds for this year. "Select Seeds" is my favorite catalog for flower seeds. They have lovely photos and wonderful descriptions. If you order from them, don't miss the heirloom cactus zinnia, mixed colors. It was one of my favorite delights of last years' garden.
The "seeds" on my bead board are all about florals for Spring. I will be making more of the pendant necklaces, as shown here. Right now I am ruminating on changing up the design. I also have three sets of layered necklaces planned, end each set has some very pretty floral focal beads. Actually, there is so much on my bead board right now, I think I need to do a "part two".
